Goa BJP President Sadanand Seth Tanawade said that three independent MLAs have given us letters of support, so we will form the government with full majority. In Goa, BJP has got success in 20 out of 40 seats so far.
The ruling BJP alliance seems to be returning to power in militancy-hit Manipur. According to the Election Commission data, BJP has won 12 seats and is leading in 12 seats. Chief Minister N Biren Singh defeated his nearest rival P Saratchandra Singh of Congress by a margin of 18,271 votes. Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (U) has won three seats and is leading in three seats.
The Congress and the National People’s Party (NPP) won two seats each, while two independent candidates also won. The Kuki People’s Alliance won one seat, while it was ahead in another. NPP and Naga People’s Front are leading in five seats. Although these two parties did not have an alliance with the BJP before the election, but both the parties remained part of the coalition government. Congress is ahead in two seats. Counting of votes for the 60-member Manipur Assembly began at 8 am.

The results or trends related to a total of 51 seats were available till 4:03 pm. BJP formed the government with the help of NPP and NPF by winning only 21 seats in the year 2017. However, the saffron party later increased its strength to 28.
