New Delhi, July 15 (IANS)| Schools will not be opened in Delhi at present. The Delhi government says that no risk can be taken until the process of corona vaccination is completed in the capital. On Thursday, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said that there is no idea to open the school right now. Till the time the process of vaccination is not completed, we cannot take any risk with children.
Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain said that to save children from the risk of serious diseases and death, the Delhi government is starting this program free of cost at 600 centers from today. After launching the Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that on Thursday, at this polyclinic in Paschim Vihar, we have started a new type of vaccine for the vaccines that are given to children. Till now, vaccines for 12 diseases are administered to children in Delhi. From today it is being vaccinated for pneumonia. Children under the age of five used to die of pneumonia. Now the new type of vaccine that has come, after its introduction, children will not die due to pneumonia. This vaccine will protect children from many diseases including meningitis, not just pneumonia. We just got the first injection today. There are about 600 such centers across Delhi. Where children are vaccinated.
From Friday, children will start getting this vaccine at all 600 centers. This injection is very expensive. One injection comes in between one and a half thousand to six thousand and three injections are given to a child. Therefore, it is very difficult for a common man to get this injection done. But the Delhi government will give all these injections to the children free of cost. The new steps that the Delhi government is taking every day in the field of health is another step in the same direction, which will benefit the people.
