The incident is about the 2019 general election. After the Pulwama attack, when the Modi government conducted an air strike in Balakot, the whole country became a fan of PM Modi. The opposition was understanding that now it will not be easy to compete with the BJP in the Lok Sabha elections. The biggest confusion for Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal was Delhi’s seven Lok Sabha seats. He knew that it would not be easy to get over the BJP after the air strike. He kept urging Rahul Gandhi for an alliance. Congress did not give him any attention, but by 2022, the whole scene changed. By winning Punjab, Kejri has shown that he is now an unsurpassed face for a non-BJP platform. A face that Congress might not like even in its dreams.
Kejri, who came out of the Anna movement, has been a headache for the Congress from the very beginning. It was the campaign against corruption that shook the heart of the Manmohan Singh government and created a huge vacuum in national politics. The face of the movement was undoubtedly Anna Hazare, but it was Kejriwal who did the work of giving it an edge. However, Anna returned to Ralegan Siddhi. He did not intend to enter politics. Kejriwal took a different path than him. He contested in the 2015 Delhi elections. If they could not get majority, then formed the government with the help of Congress. Then broke the friendship and faced re-election. BJP was mulling that Kejriwal would not be able to cross Kiran Bedi, who was a part of his team. But Kejriwal did wonders. The BJP and Congress were completely wiped out. Kejriwal made a splash in politics by winning 67 seats.
However, even after the victory, Kejriwal never looked like a challenge to the Congress. The reason was that he was confined to Delhi. Out of the provinces, only Punjab was the place where four of their leaders reached Parliament after winning. In the 2017 elections, it was believed that he would become a tough challenge for the Congress in Punjab. But then with the help of Captain Amarinder’s charisma, Congress stopped AAP’s dreams from flourishing by winning 77 seats. Kejriwal won 20 seats. He then got 17.1 percent of the vote. But the biggest confusion was that even after becoming the second largest party, Kejriwal did not have a face that was local. He continued to expand the scope in Punjab and tried to break into other provinces as well. Entered the civic elections of Gujarat and slapped the Congress by performing well in Gandhi Nagar.
At present, Kejriwal has blown the senses of the Congress by winning a thumping victory in Punjab in 2022. Now he is moving towards becoming a big face in national politics. However, Mamata Banerjee and Sharad Pawar are also constantly trying to fit into this slot. While Pawar keeps presenting his claim through Shiv Sena, Mamta is roaming from place to place talking about uprooting the BJP. But Kejriwal is different from these two. The biggest reason for this is that they are Hindi speaking people. Mamta is defeated by him right here. This is where Stalin dies, so this thing becomes a big obstacle in the way of Sharad Pawar. Needless to say, the BJP, which is engrossed in the victory of UP, Uttarakhand, Goa and Manipur, has also started worrying about Kejriwal.
But due to his becoming big, the Congress has more trouble than the BJP. Congress has fought in all the five states. Even after changing three CMs one after the other, he could not take the people of Uttarakhand into confidence, so the whole strategy of Chidambaram in Goa was abandoned. Bringing Navjot Sidhu into the main stream in Punjab only hurt. At the same time, Priyanka is seen marginalized in UP even after showing all the vegetables to the girls. The Congress, especially the Gandhi family, desperately needed victory to save its existence.
In UP, he knew that victory was far away, but if he had got some seats, it would have been a little easier for him to show his face. The Congress, which has been running the power of the country for ten consecutive years with the help of allies, is currently trying to save itself. In the circumstances in which the companions are far away, their leaders have also started turning their backs. On the other hand, Kejriwal has emerged as a friendly for the non-BJP and non-Congress camp. Experts say that the beginning has started. In the coming days, it will not be a big surprise if many Congress leaders and some BJP leaders are seen in you.
