Brahm Shankar Zimpa took over as the Minister of Revenue, Water Resources and Water Supply of the Punjab Government on Thursday. Before taking over, he performed pujas to purify the atmosphere in the room. Cabinet minister Brahm Shankar Zimpa also got the minister’s chair worshiped. At the same time, an attempt was made to purify the atmosphere by lighting incense and incense sticks in the room, but still the foul smell coming from the minister’s room did not subside.

At the same time, after taking over, Brahm Shankar Zimpa insisted on ending corruption. The minister said that a lot of reforms need to be done. He also stressed on increasing the functioning in government offices. Zimpa said that corruption would be curbed to give corruption-free administration at the tehsil level to the common people.
The Cabinet Minister of the Punjab Government said that the administrative system in the Tehsil level offices of the Revenue Department would be improved. Also, keeping in view the needs of the common people, the translation of revenue records will also be done. Brahm Shankar Zimpa said that he will try his best to live up to the expectations of the people.
At the same time, he also said that the main objective of the government would be to preserve the natural resources. Concrete steps will be taken for groundwater conservation. Zimpa said that the government will work to take forward the projects on a large scale by harvesting rain water. In addition, to reduce the additional burden of electricity bill on water supply schemes, the government will work towards converting power pumps to solar powered pumps.
