Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said this while addressing the students during the first convocation ceremony at Maharaja Ranjit Singh Technical University, Bathinda on Saturday (April 9). Punjab CM said that this time also, there is a possibility of three and a half lakh children going abroad. He said that when a child goes abroad, not only does he go out, he also goes out with him at Rs 15 lakh per person. He said that give some time, such an environment will be created that the British will also come here to ask for jobs.
The Chief Minister said that his government will create opportunities for the children in the country itself so that the talent here remains here and the youth do not have to go to other countries to fulfill their dreams. During this, Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit and Chief Minister presented degrees to the students.
During this, Bhagwant Mann appealed to the children to save their motherland and said that there is a need to make education commensurate with the available employment opportunities. He said that the Punjab government would work to create a better environment for the industries to provide employment to the people, but for that some time was needed. At the same time, he appealed to the parents to give freedom to their children and especially daughters to perform in the field of their choice.
He said that parents should always give an open environment to their children, and not be with them by holding fingers. At the same time, while addressing the children, the Governor said that technologists are problem solvers. They find quick, efficient and cost-effective ways to solve big challenges. Maharaja Ranjit Singh Technical University must gear up to prepare IT professionals to meet such challenges. They should become job creators and create wealth for the country, society and people through startups.
