Due to incessant rains in many areas of Uttarakhand for the last two days, the water level of rivers has also increased significantly. Landslides are also taking place in many areas due to heavy rains. Due to rain in many places, a lot of damage is being seen. A part of the Ranipokhari Bridge between Dehradun and Rishikesh has collapsed due to heavy rains. Due to the bridge, many got washed away in the water flowing in the river. The video of the incident is becoming quite viral on social media.

Sharing the video of the broken bridge, Uttarakhand Police requested not to go through this route. It was informed by the police by tweeting that a part of the bridge over Jakhan river at Ranipokhari on Rishikesh road has collapsed due to heavy rain and strong water flow. Apart from this, by tweeting, the police have suggested the common people to use alternate routes, requesting them not to use that route. Police force has also been deployed on the spot.
Earlier, due to heavy rains, the Maldevta-Sahastradhara link road in Dehradun had also completely merged under the river due to heavy rains. Debris has entered the houses, due to which the problems of the local people have increased a lot. The road has been badly damaged due to heavy rains.
