In Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr, a CRPF jawan reached the police door for security at his wedding. In fact, this Dalit jawan posted in the CRPF reached the doorstep of the police officers demanding security during the Ghudchadhi ceremony before the marriage. The jawan says that he wants protection from the police so that there should not be any dispute in the village during the ghuchardi ceremony of his marriage.
Actually, this CRPF jawan Gaurav comes from the Dalit community. He told that he is currently posted in Jammu and Kashmir and his native village is Gadhana under Kakod police station area of Bulandshahr. Gaurav told that he belongs to the Dalit community, so he appealed to the Uttar Pradesh Police for protection before Ghudchadhi. According to Gaurav, he is worried about his safety as there was a riot in his village earlier. Due to which he is already pleading for protection from the police administration, so that there is no untoward incident in his marriage.
Help was sought from the police- In Gaurav’s village, there was a murder in the Ghurchadhi dispute earlier as well. In such a situation, the procession of a Dalit jawan came out from Bulandshahr in the presence of heavy police force. During the walk, police and PAC personnel were seen stationed everywhere in the village. After seeking help from the police regarding the matter, the police has deployed force in the village. At the same time, people have expressed their displeasure after the video of the procession which went out under police protection went viral on social media. People say that due to discrimination, Dalit jawans still need protection to ride a horse in marriage. People raised the question whether this is the India of the 21st century? Will this become a Vishwaguru?
Police force deployed in the village At the same time, in this case, Bulandshahr’s SP City Surendra Nath Tiwari says that on the demand of the groom, a large number of police forces have been deployed in his village Gadhana. The police will keep an eye on the whole ceremony so that there is no hindrance in his marriage. He said that Gaurav had given an application regarding security arrangements, on the basis of which adequate security arrangements have been provided. Earlier, an incident had happened in the village, keeping in mind that tight security arrangements have been made.
Eight months back in Gadhana village, there was a dispute between Dalit and Thakur community over playing DJ in loud voice during the wedding of a Dalit youth. In this dispute, a man from the Thakur community was shot dead on behalf of the Dalit community. Strict action was taken by the police against the accused in the case.
