BSP supremo Mayawati held a review meeting on Sunday after the crushing defeat in UP. During this meeting, Mayawati said that she is not interested in the post of President. It was a spread web of BJP. He said that she is a disciple of Kanshi Ram. Kanshi Ram had also received a similar offer, which he had turned down.
BSP supremo Mayawati insisted that she would not accept the offer of the presidency from any party. He alleged that the BJP and the RSS had falsely propagated that he would be “made president” if the BJP comes to power in Uttar Pradesh. Due to this his supporters were misled and came to vote for BJP.
In a statement after reviewing the humiliating defeat, Mayawati said that she was a staunch disciple of Kanshi Ram, who had also refused the post. The BSP supremo said- “How can I accept such a post, when we know that it will end our party. So I want to make it clear to every BSP office-bearer that in the interest of our party, I will not accept any such proposal”.
The BSP chief said that she would spend every moment of her life in strengthening the party across the country. During this, he also appealed to his members not to get disheartened. He said- “In this election, through well-thought-out strategy and conspiracy, BJP along with RSS has spread false propaganda among our people that if BSP government is not formed in UP, then we will make your sister-in-law the President of the country. Will give That’s why you should let BJP come to power.”
Let us inform that in the recently held UP assembly elections, BSP got only one seat out of 403. Whereas in 2017 it got 19 seats. At the same time, the term of President Ram Nath Kovind ends on July 24. The election for this post is to be held before the end of his term.
