New Delhi: According to the India TV-CNX Opinion Poll, if elections are held now, the National Democratic Alliance led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi could win 393 seats out of the total 543 Lok Sabha seats, of which the BJP alone is projected to win 343 seats. The opposition Congress-led INDIA alliance (except Trinamool Congress) may win 99 seats, while other parties including Trinamool Congress, YSR Congress, Telugu Desam Party, Biju Janata Dal and independents may get the remaining 51 seats.
Details of the opinion poll were broadcast on India TV news channel today. A total of 1,22,175 people’s opinions were taken across all 543 Lok Sabha constituencies between April 1 and 13. Of these, 62,350 were men and 59,825 were women.
Party wise seat estimates
BJP may get 343 seats, Congress 40, Aam Aadmi Party 8, Trinamool Congress 19, Samajwadi Party 4, JDU 12, DMK 17, TDP 12 and others may get 88 seats.
According to the opinion poll, Bharatiya Janata Party is going to win all 26 seats in Gujarat, all 25 seats in Rajasthan, all 11 seats in Chhattisgarh, all seven seats in Delhi, all five seats in Uttarakhand and all four seats in Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, BJP can win 28 out of 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh and 8 out of 10 seats in Haryana.
BJP’s most spectacular victory is going to be in Uttar Pradesh, where it can win 72 seats out of total 80, its alliance partners RLD and Apna Dal can win two seats each, the remaining four seats can go to Samajwadi Party. There is no possibility of both Congress and BSP getting even a single seat in UP.
Other states where BJP is going to achieve notable wins are: Bihar (17 out of 40), Jharkhand (12 out of 14), Karnataka (21 out of 28), Maharashtra (29 out of 48), Odisha (21 10), Assam (11 out of 14) and West Bengal (23 out of 42).
Among regional parties, Trinamool Congress may win 19 seats in West Bengal, DMK may win 17 seats in Tamil Nadu, YSR Congress may win 10 seats, TDP may win 12 seats and Biju Janata Dal may win 11 out of 21 seats in Odisha. Can.
