Beijing. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine has led to a rise in world grain prices, reaching their highest level in years. Analysts believe that if the encounter goes on or intensifies, then there may be a crisis of food supply in the world. According to the news received from Ukraine, due to the encounter, the area of corn planting in Ukraine will decline, while the crop will also be affected due to non-fertilization. To ensure domestic supply, the Ukrainian government on March 9 banned the export of major agricultural products such as wheat, which has severely affected food imports from countries like Asia, Africa and Europe.
Analysts believe the confrontation between Russia and Ukraine has raised concerns about global grain security. Major importing countries in the Middle East and North African region are trying to find new destinations. Many countries have stopped exporting agricultural products. It is estimated that countries like America, Canada and Australia will insist on growing wheat, corn and soybeans, but the supply demand cannot be met. The supply of agricultural products in the world will decrease further and prices will continue to rise.
