Biden asked for six and a half billion dollars from Parliament
The Biden administration has asked the US parliament for $6.4 billion for initial aid against the Russian attack. It is being told that this amount will be largely used for military and humanitarian aid.
The government wants $3.5 billion for the Defense Department and $2.9 billion for US aid and other programs in Ukraine, Poland and other Eastern European countries.
This amount is also to be used for humanitarian, energy and economic assistance and to thwart Russian cyber attacks. However, earlier this aid was being said to be around $ 10 billion.
Czech Republic: Will send $8.5 million in arms and ammunition
The Czech Defense Ministry said military equipment shipped to Ukraine included machine guns, assault rifles and other light weapons. Military aid will continue in the future as well.
Slovakia: Will send military equipment worth 2.6 million euros.
Netherlands will deliver 200 air defense rockets
The Netherlands will strengthen Ukraine’s air defense as soon as possible. On Saturday, the government told parliament, the Netherlands is going to provide it with 200 air defense rockets after Ukraine’s request. Earlier, many other equipment and weapons, including rifles, radar systems, mine detection robots, have been sent to help Kiev.
