New Delhi. Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has met senior party leaders and the Election Commission. He gave this information on his handle. Ramesh said, “I have just met the Election Commission along with my colleagues Salman Khurshid, Mukul Wasnik, Pawan Khera and Gurdeep Sappal. We have submitted 6 complaints, including 2 against the Prime Minister, for discussion.”
“It is time for the Election Commission to demonstrate its independence and ensure a level playing field for all parties,” he said. We hope that the respected Commission will maintain its constitutional mandate. “We, on our part, will continue to pursue all political and legal avenues to expose this.”

Salman Khurshid said, “We are deeply saddened by the Prime Minister’s comments in his speeches, he has called our manifesto a ‘bundle of lies’. You can disagree with a party, argue with it, debate on it, but a national level party is involved in it.” It saddens us to say in our national movement that she will write a bundle of lies in her manifesto.”
Khurshid said, “We understand that the Prime Minister has no right to say such things. This matter is before the Election Commission. I have urged them to take this seriously and take action on it.”

Congress leader Pawan Kheda said, “We have raised many issues. We expressed strong objection to the way the Prime Minister included the Muslim League in his manifesto. We also expressed our views on the hoardings of the Prime Minister in universities. Elections have been announced. The ministry is currently a caretaker government and they do not have the right to impose such restrictions on freedom of expression.”
