Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Friday announced the imposition of 10 percent super tax on large industries of the country. The country’s cement, steel and automobile sector industries will come under the purview of this tax.
The Pakistan PM has defended the decision to impose super tax, saying that with its help it will help in dealing with the problem of rising inflation and cash crunch in the country. This will save the country from bankruptcy.
Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the first objective of imposing super tax is to provide relief to the poor by saving them from the effects of inflation. Pak PM has said these things in a conversation with Pakistani news channel Geo TV.
In this conversation, the Prime Minister of Pakistan has also said that the second purpose of imposing super tax is to save the country from bankruptcy. He said that the country is standing on the verge of becoming a pauper due to the inefficiency and corruption of the erstwhile Imran Khan government.
