Rising petrol and diesel prices in the country have pushed the demand for CNG vehicles to a peak in the recent past. You may recall that Tata Motors recently entered the CNG segment with the Tiago and Tigor, joining Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai in the CNG space. With an intention to have a bigger share in the growing CNG market, Tata Motors launched CNG versions of Tigor and Tiago and apparently, the company has got results.
In fact, Tata recently announced that around 3,000 units of both the vehicles have been sold in a matter of weeks. The buzz in the market nowadays is more on electric vehicles, and Tata is not far behind in this either. The company sells the Nexon EV and Tigor EV in India, and is currently the largest selling electric car manufacturer. Clearly, people’s faith in Tata is getting stronger with time. Both the Tigor CNG and Tiago CNG models have been offered with options to cater to the needs of all types of customers.
Interestingly, both the Tigor and Tiago CNG models are based on the upper variants, which means that you won’t have to splurge on features to opt for a CNG-fitted Tata car. Tata CNG cars get digital instrument clusters, which show all the details. The homegrown automaker claims that the CNG variants are equipped with features that are already available in their petrol models.
