Meerut: If we talk about Ayurvedic system, medicinal properties are found in different types of trees and plants. Its use proves effective in many diseases. A similar mention is also found about the Sheonak tree. The bark, root and fruit of this tree are used in Ayurvedic medicine. Through this, it helps a lot in removing various types of diseases including swelling in the liver. We have been teaching students about Botany and Ayurvedic plants for the last 25 years. Professor Vijay Malik says that Sheonak tree is very beneficial. If its bark is made into powder and mixed with water and consumed, it provides relief in various types of liver related diseases. Moreover, it provides maximum relief in the disease of jaundice. Most Ayurvedic companies also use its bark in making medicines related to liver. Because, such antioxidant medicinal properties are found in it which act as a protective shield for the liver. Besides, its root is also used as Dashmola. If there is any problem related to swelling in any part of the body, it helps a lot in removing it.
