The market was also kept closed on Monday in protest against the traders setting fire to shops by miscreants, pelting stones and vandalizing the shops and asked the police not to take any action under pressure. Only three have been released on bail after the police arrested 40 people and produced them in the court. Now the search is on for the other accused. A case has also been registered by the police against Kanchan Kavareti, Kusum Dhurve, including Gondwana Gantantra Party national president Monica Batti. However, all three have got bail from the court. Police believe that due to the provocative speech given in Bhimpur, the mob became furious and they carried out the incident like rebellion.
National President of JAYS demanded judicial inquiry
In the case of riots in Bhimpur, JAYS President and Manawar MLA Hiralal Alava has written a letter to the Chief Minister demanding a judicial inquiry. In the letter, he has said that according to the fifth schedule, non-tribals were given the possession of land in the scheduled development block Bhimpur. In the case of encroachment, no action was taken after giving several memorandums to the authorities. After this, there was resentment among the tribals over the removal of the encroachment of the woman selling vegetables and on March 5, the police fired lathi-charge and tear gas. He has urged the Chief Minister to conduct a judicial inquiry into the incident in Bhimpur.
Bhimpur market remained closed for the second day as well:
An atmosphere of unknown fear has been created among the people of Bhimpur due to the disturbance. The traders protested by keeping their establishments closed for the second day as well. The traders have said in the memorandum submitted to the TI in the name of the collector that the mob was forced to vandalize by giving provocative speeches by the office bearers of Jais. This has created an atmosphere of fear in the area. Small traders should be compensated for the damage caused in the sabotage and permission should also be given to set up shops. The traders had also warned to close the market, after which on Monday also the traders kept the market closed in protest. However, the police advised the traders to open shops. Chicholi TI Ajay Soni told that the traders have been advised by the police to open their shops. Any kind of discriminatory action will not be taken. Fair action will be taken with the rules and regulations. The traders have also demanded from Shahpur SDOP Mahendra Singh Meena that no action should be taken against the traders. Before whatever action is taken, there should be an inquiry and it should be done by law. Bhimpur businessman Om Jaiswal told that shops are closed due to fear. By submitting a memorandum to the police, a demand has been made to provide security to the traders along with fair action.
