Gopalganj. The first phase of training of polling personnel for the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections to be held in Gopalganj started from Friday. 18 thousand 515 personnel will be trained in the training program. By April 22, everyone from the presiding officer to all the polling personnel, sector officers and micro observers will be trained at the three training sites set up in the district.
District Election Officer cum DM Mohammad Maqsood Alam inaugurated the training program by cutting the ribbon at MM Urdu High School, Turkaha, District Headquarters. The DM said that it has been made mandatory for election workers to participate in training. Election personnel who remain absent from the training program will not be spared under any circumstances.
Training will be conducted in 2 shifts
The nodal officer of the Personnel Cell said that to provide training to all the personnel deployed for election work, DAV High School Gopalganj, MM Urdu High School Gopalganj and DAV Public School Dhawe have been made several training centres. At these centres, 144 master trainers will train polling officials and personnel in two phases. The first phase of training will be given to polling personnel from 19 to 22 April and the second phase of training will be given from 14 to 17 May. This training program will run in two shifts.

2928 Training as Presiding Officer
A total of 2 thousand 928 personnel are being trained as Presiding Officers for the Lok Sabha elections, apart from these, 3 thousand 99 personnel for P-1, 5 thousand 288 for P-2 and 6 thousand 505 for P-3. Training is being given. Deputy Election Officer Shashi Prakash said that apart from these, 245 sector officers and 450 micro observers will also be trained.
