Western countries have united against Russia over the attack on Ukraine and are continuously imposing sanctions against Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin is very upset with this attitude of Western countries. On Saturday, Putin reacted sharply to this and described it as a declaration of war.

Which country imposed what sanctions on Russia?
- US President Joe Biden has barred Russian Putin and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov from entering the country. Sanctions have been imposed on four Russian banks and 12 of its companies. Along with this, the supply of defense equipment to Russia has also been banned.
- Britain has also announced several sanctions against Russia. It has also imposed sanctions on five Russian banks. Bank accounts have also been frozen along with impounding Putin’s assets. Sanctions have also been imposed on Russian billionaires Alisher Usmanov and Igor Shuvalov.
- Under the new restrictions, their assets will be frozen and their travel to the UK will be banned. They will also not be allowed to do business with British citizens and business establishments here. Italian police have also seized a yacht of Usmanov.
- Canada has pulled Russia out of the SWIFT payment system. Sanctions have also been imposed in Canada against several Russian banks and more than 50 influential figures. Japan has banned the issuance of Russian bonds along with stopping the import of semiconductors from Russia.
- Australia has announced sanctions against 25 influential people, banks and financial institutions of Russia. Along with this, Australia has also banned Russian airlines. EU member states have also announced tough sanctions against Russia.
