Let us tell you that for the first time in the history of Uttar Pradesh, this has happened when Eid prayers were not offered on the streets. In areas like Loni and Hapur, where space was scarce, Namaz was offered in shifts.
In the past, CM Yogi had asked the officials to be extra sensitive to the police/administration on the same day of Eid, Akshaya Tritiya and Parashuram Jayanti. Simultaneously, citing the inconvenience caused to the common man by stopping the traffic on the road and offering prayers, instructions were also given to make a dialogue with the religious leaders in this regard. The Chief Minister’s efforts had a positive effect and there was no street prayer anywhere.
