Patna. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday did not pay much attention to Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) President Lalu Prasad’s comment that “doors are always open for Nitish Kumar.” Kumar said that he has good relations with his allies as well as his opponents. Janata Dal (United) chief Kumar was answering questions from journalists on the remarks of his former colleague Lalu Prasad. Kumar and Lalu were seen shaking hands warmly inside the assembly complex on Thursday.
Kumar said, “I maintain good relations with colleagues and leaders of opposition parties. Whenever I meet him, I shake his hand.” The Chief Minister said, “I don’t care who says what… Things were not going well, so I left them (RJD).”
A few days after Kumar’s separation from the Grand Alliance, on Friday Lalu Prasad said that doors are always open for him (Nitish). When asked whether he would give another chance to Nitish in future, Lalu said, “Now we will see. The doors are always open.”
When asked about cabinet expansion, Kumar said, “It will happen. Everything is fine.” NDA sources on Saturday indicated that Nitish Kumar’s cabinet will be expanded in two-three days to accommodate MLAs belonging to other castes, minorities and women.
A senior Janata Dal (United) leader, on the condition of anonymity, said that those who are expected to be included in the cabinet include BJP leaders Shahnawaz Hussain, Nitin Nabin, Rampreet Paswan, Janak Ram, Shreyashi Singh and JD( U) Leaders include Sunil Kumar Singh, Madan Sahni, Lacey Singh, Sheela Mandal, Jayant Raj, Ashok Chaudhary.
