KL Rahul is out of Team India due to injury
KL Rahul started rehab at NCA
New Delhi. KL Rahul is currently away from Team India. Due to injury, he had to be ruled out of the ongoing Test series against England. After this he went to London where he talked to experts about his injury. However, KL Rahul has returned home from London and has currently started rehab at the National Cricket Academy. Veteran Indian batsman Lokesh Rahul hinted at his comeback in the upcoming IPL by sharing pictures of his training at the NCA after undergoing injury consultation in London.
KL Rahul, who captained Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL, shared pictures of his practice on his Instagram account with the caption ‘Hi’. The next season of IPL is starting from 22nd March. The Lucknow team will start its campaign against Rajasthan Royals in the afternoon match on March 24 in Jaipur. Rahul is a strong contender to play the role of wicketkeeper-batsman in the Indian team for the T20 World Cup to be held in America and West Indies in June.

Rahul is suffering from strain in thigh muscles
The 31-year-old player had complained of a quadriceps tendon (thigh muscle) injury after the opening Test played in Hyderabad in the ongoing five-match Test series against England. Rahul, who scored 86 and 22 in the Hyderabad Test, complained of pain in his right quadriceps and was initially ruled out of the second match of the series in Visapatnam. After this, he was dropped from the team of the second Test, whereas his name was included in the team of the third to fifth Test, but due to failing to regain fitness, he could not play the matches of this series. Last year, he had to undergo an operation after getting injured during the IPL.

KL Rahul has scored 4163 runs in 118 matches in IPL. During this period, his highest score has been 132 runs unbeaten while he has scored 4 centuries and 33 half-centuries. In the year 2023, he scored 274 runs in 9 matches while playing for Lucknow Super Giants. Rahul is the captain of Lucknow Super Giants in IPL. Recently LSG had announced this while the responsibility of vice captain will be on the shoulders of West Indies batsman Nicholas Pooran.
