157 billion i.e. about 11 lakh 70 thousand crore rupees in the last 15 months
Countries around the world, which have been battling for almost two years due to Corona, have been financially affected. Every country is making every effort to avoid this epidemic and protect its citizens and in such a situation, the World Bank has shared an information. According to the World Bank, to fight this epidemic, the World Bank has provided financial assistance of 157 billion (about 11 lakh 70 thousand crore rupees) in the last 15 months to countries around the world on health, economic and social fronts. This is the largest ever financial assistance from the World Bank to deal with any crisis.
Let us tell you that the World Bank said that there has been a 60 percent increase in financial aid compared to the 15 months before the corona epidemic. World Bank President Daleed Malpass said that since the start of the corona pandemic, the World Bank has contributed a record 157 billion in financial aid. David Malpass said, “We will continue to provide the necessary assistance to developing countries in this global pandemic so that it can come out of the economic crisis on a commercial scale.”
He further said that the World Bank has proved to be a bright, innovative and effective platform to support developing countries. But still more work is needed. He expressed concern about the limited availability of vaccines, which are vital for saving lives and livelihoods in developing countries.
