If you are already beneficiaries of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan), then there is good news for you. The Central Government has given a big gift to the farmers and has linked the PM Kisan Manadhan Pension Yojana (PM-KMY) to the PM Kisan Yojana. This means that now farmers will not have to take additional paperwork to get pension.
After completing the age of 60 years under this scheme, farmers will get a pension of ₹ 3,000 i.e. ₹ 36,000 annually. The most important thing is that for this, farmers will not have to spend a single penny from their pockets. The monthly contribution required, it will be cut directly with the assistance of ₹ 6,000 for the PM Kisan Yojana.
Pension will be received after 60 years of age
To take advantage of this scheme, the age of farmers should be between 18 and 40 years. Once the farmers turn 60 after registration, ₹ 3,000 pension will start coming to their bank account every month. This amount will continue to be received throughout his life.
After the completion of the registration, the government also provides a special pension ID number to the farmers. It is useful in future for their identity and transactions related to the plan.
Easy process of registration
Registration under PM Kisan Manadhan Pension Scheme is very simple. Farmers only have to visit their nearest Jan Seva Kendra (CSC). There they have to submit these documents:
Aadhar card
Bank passbook
Land related documents
Passport Size Photo
The CSC operator fills the online form based on farmers’ documents. Also, an auto-debit form is also signed so that the monthly contribution remains directly deducted from the bank account. If the farmers are already registered under the PM Kisan Yojana, then this contribution automatically adjusts with the same money.
Pension will be started with PM farmer money
The biggest feature of this scheme is that farmers do not have to bear additional financial burden. For example:
If a farmer joins this scheme at the age of 40, he will have to contribute about ₹ 200 every month.
It is made ₹ 2,400 throughout the year, which will be deducted directly from the amount of PM Kisan Yojana.
The remaining ₹ 3,600 will continue to be deposited in the farmer’s account every year.
In this way, the farmer gets double benefit – direct cash assistance under PM Kisan Yojana and fixed pension in old age on the other side.
Safe future for farmers
Experts believe that this scheme will prove to be very helpful for small and marginal farmers in rural areas. The income decreases due to age with farming, in such a situation, this pension scheme of the government will provide them financial security. Overall, the PM Kisan Mahanadhan Pension Scheme is a safe future guarantee for farmers. Now farmers will neither have to apply nor spend money from pockets. Being a beneficiary of only PM Kisan Yojana is enough to be a part of this pension scheme.
