Moon has great importance in the fast of Karva Chauth. However, sometimes the moon becomes invisible due to bad weather. In such a situation, how can married women break their fast? Let’s find out.
Here is the method to break the fast
If the moon is not visible in the sky on Karva Chauth, then women should worship the Moon God as per the rules mentioned in the scriptures. Water should be offered to them. If they wish, they can also break the fast by looking at the moon situated on the forehead of Lord Shiva. For this, Arghya should be offered to Moon God in the right direction and time. At that time, the moon should be seen through the sieve. After this, the fast should be broken by looking at the husband through a sieve. If there is no idol of Lord Shiva in the house, then he should be worshiped by making a moon shape using rice or pure flour on a plate on the terrace.
