Every year millions of foreign tourists visit India. There are countless tourist destinations in India, many of which dream of walking. However, it is not easy to come to India. They have to undergo many procedures at the airport. However, these rules are going to change from October 1.
Foreigners coming to India for work, studies or business will have to submit a digital arrival card, so that they will be able to enter India easily.
How will the card be made?
To get a digital card (e-recurrence card), foreign nationals have to enter their passport number, nationality, reason, habitat and mobile number. No other document will be required. Digital cards will not be mandatory for Indian citizens or Overseas Citizen of India (OCI).
Currently, when foreigners come to India, they have to go to the airport to go to the immigration office to fill an arrival form. This process can often take a long time. As such, this process can be completed digitally with e-recurrence card.
The fast track emigration trusted traveler program (FTI-TTP) will be expanded.
Under the leadership of Amit Shah, the Ministry of Home Affairs plans to facilitate foreigners through technology. Fast Track Emigration Trusted Traveler Program (FTI-TTP) will be applied to several airports across the country, which will be accessible to OCI card holders.
The fast track was launched at the Delhi Airport at the Delhi Airport in 2024, and later expanded to Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bangalore, Kochi and Ahmedabad. Now, FTI-TTP will also be applied to Lucknow, Thiruvananthapuram, Trichy, Kozhikode and Amritsar Airports.
