In today’s time, Permanent Account Number has become a very important document. It is mandatory in many financial works ranging from opening bank account to filing income tax returns, big purchases or investing. But over time, if your PAN card is old, damaged or lost, or some information is to be updated in it, it becomes necessary to renew or replace the PAN card.

PAN card renews only from two portals
Applications for PAN card renewal can only be made from two government authorized portals:
NSDL (https://www.tin-sdl.com)
Utiitsl (https://www.pan.utiitsl.com)
By visiting any of these portals, you can apply for new applications, updates, duplicate PAN card or renewal. Indian citizens have to fill Form 49A and foreign nationals have to fill 49AA. While applying, fill your name, date of birth, address and other details perfectly, as any mistake can reject the application.
What are the necessary documents?
For PAN card renewal, a scan copy of some valid documents has to be uploaded:
ID Proof (ID Proof): Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Passport etc.
Address proof: Electricity bill, bank statement, passport etc.
While scanning the document, make sure that the image is clean and fully readable, otherwise the process may be delayed.

A fee of about ₹ 110 is charged from citizens living in India for PAN card renewal. You can pay easily:
Net banking
Debit/credit card
UPI (on some portals)
After the payment, a receipt will be given and a tracking number will be given, with the help of which you can see the status of your application online.
When and how to get a new PAN card?
After all the information and documents are found correct, your new or renewed PAN card is sent to your address through the Indian Postal Service. Usually this process is completed in 7 to 15 working days. You will also get the update of delivery situation through portal or postal tracking.
