As soon as the festive season starts, the expectations of crores of farmers of the country have increased. They are eagerly waiting for the 21st installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹ 6,000 is given to small and marginal farmers every year in three installments in their bank accounts. However, this time the government has made it clear that the installment of farmers may be stuck if some of the necessary formalities are not completed.
Installment can come before Diwali
The last 20th installment was released on 2 August 2025, in which about ₹ 20,500 crore was sent to the accounts of more than 9.71 crore farmers. Now everyone’s eyes are on the 21st installment. If we look at the previous records, the government usually releases installments between August to November. This year, given the elections in Bihar, there is a discussion in the political corridors that the central government can give the next installment of ₹ 2,000 to the farmers before the code of conduct comes into force. This means that farmers can get the gift of Diwali in October itself.
These farmers may get stuck money
The central government has made it clear that the installment of farmers who have not completed some important work may be stuck. These formalities include:
E-KYC update: Farmers who have not yet done their e-KYC will have to get it done immediately.
Linking of Aadhaar and bank account: Make sure that your Aadhaar card is link to your bank account.
Land Verification: It is also mandatory to verify documents related to your land.
If you have not completed these important work, then get it done as soon as possible so that your installment does not stop.
