Railways watching on traveling with waiting tickets, now a mistake can be made for millions

Indian Railways has recently implemented new rules for passengers traveling on waiting tickets. Till now the passengers who used to have tickets, RAC, used to travel with waiting tickets in sleeper or AC. Due to this, the passengers whose seats were confirmed. Due to the huge crowd on the berth, many videos are going viral on social media these days. Keeping this in mind, the Railways has taken such a decision.

Indian Railways has made a new rule to impose heavy fine on those traveling without confirmed tickets. If the passenger with waiting ticket travels in the reserve coach, he will be fined Rs 440 and the train ticketing officer (TT) can take him on the way. In addition, TT will have the right to deploy the passenger to the general compartment. At the same time, if the passenger with waiting ticket travels in a sleeper coach, he will be fined Rs 250 and will be left at the next station.

According to railway rules, traveling on waiting list ticket is illegal. However, if you have taken a ticket from the window counter, you can travel in the general compartment on the waiting list ticket. However, passengers with e-tickets booked online are not allowed to board the train. If your waiting list ticket is online, then after the chart is formed, IRCTC automatically cancels it and you get refund. The refund amount will be deposited in the account from which you paid at the time of reservation. The refund amount may take 3-4 days to arrive.

If your Tatkal ticket is also in the waiting list and has not been confirmed till the day of the journey, then you cannot travel on that ticket. The ticket is automatically canceled by the Railways on waiting tickets. At the same time, if your ticket is RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation), it means that you will have a seat in the train
