When the government runs a plan or asks to update any documents etc. In such a situation, one last date is given to complete that work, that is, you have to complete that work again for a fixed time. If you do not do this, then there is also a provision to impose a fine on you. In this sequence, if you are a taxpayer and you have not yet filed your income tax return, then know that you have the last chance to do so by 31 December 2024.

You can file your return till this date with a late fee of Rs 5000 for the assessment year 2024-25. Also tell here that if you have not done this, then the amount of fine will increase from 5 thousand rupees to 10 thousand rupees. So if you have not yet filed income tax returns, then you can file it by knowing how to do it in the next slides.

Build ITR can be admitted in this way:-

First step

If you have not yet filed your income tax return (FY 2023-24), then you can file it.
For this, you will first have to go to the Income Tax Department’s e-filing website https://eeportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/login.

second step

If you are not registered after visiting the website, then register yourself and login if registered
For this, you have to enter your PAN card number in the user ID column
Then you have to choose the right ITR form according to your earnings

third step

Now you have selected the right ITR form, so you have to select the financial year 2023-24 and the assessment year 2024-25.
Then you have to fill some of your details here
In this, you will have to give all the information about your income, deduction i.e. how much money and tax liability.

Fourth stage

Then see who is outstanding tax with interest and fine
After this you have to pay this tax
Now you can pay through net banking or other online medium
You have to submit after payment
After this your ITR file was successfully done.
