What are green crackers and how different are from normal firecrackers?
Normal firecrackers contain gunpowder and other flammable chemicals that burst on burning and cause huge amounts of pollution. While green crackers are environmentally friendly. It was discovered by the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-Neeri) with the aim of controlling pollution. Green crackers look similar to normal firecrackers. Green firecrackers cause noise pollution from maximum 110 to 125 decibels, while normal firecrackers cause noise pollution up to 160 decibels.
