Paris Olympics 2024: The draw for the table tennis event has been announced before the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games to be held on 26 July in Paris, the capital of France. Star female player Manika Batra, who participated in this event from India, will face 18-year-old Anna Hersey of Great Britain in the first round. Manika is currently the 18th seeded player in which she was eliminated after the third round in the women’s singles event at the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Manika Batra will participate in the Olympics for the third time, she made her debut in the Rio Olympics held in 2016.
Sreeja Akula will face a player from Sweden
Apart from Manika Batra, Shreeja Akula has also qualified for the women’s singles event in table tennis at the Paris Olympics from India. She will play against Sweden’s Christina Kalberg in the first round in the round of 64. The women’s team will face Romania in the round of 16.
Sharath Kamal will clash with a player from Slovenia
Talking about the men’s draw in the table tennis event at Paris Olympics 2024, experienced player Sharath Kamal will face 27-year-old Slovenian player Dani Kozul in the first round.
