Patna. The CBI, which is investigating the NEET UG paper leak, has received important information. According to media reports, the CBI has come to know that those who leaked the NEET UG paper in Bihar sold the paper to candidates for 35 to 60 lakh rupees. The rate of the paper was kept low for the candidates of Bihar. Whereas, the leaked NEET UG paper was sold to candidates of other states at a higher price. So far, the CBI has arrested more than two dozen accused in this case. These include those studying engineering and medicine.

The CBI found out in its investigation that the leaked NEET UG paper was given to about 150 candidates in Bihar. In exchange for the leaked NEET UG paper, Rs 35 to 45 lakh was taken from each candidate from Bihar. Whereas, a deal was struck to give the paper to candidates from other states for Rs 55 to 60 lakh. Some of the candidates who bought the leaked NEET UG paper had centres in Latur in Maharashtra, Hazaribagh in Jharkhand, Patna in Bihar and Godhra in Gujarat. Let us tell you that the leak of NEET UG paper in Bihar was revealed by the EOU team of the police. Whereas, the police there revealed that after the NEET UG paper was over in a centre in Godhra, Gujarat, the solver was made to sit and write the correct answers on the OMR sheet.

The CBI investigation has also revealed that 80 to 90 of the candidates who got the leaked NEET UG paper did not even get a good ranking. Now the CBI is trying to find out with what setting the examination centers were made from Bihar to Gujarat. Along with this, the investigating agency is also trying to find out whether the NEET UG paper was leaked and sent to the special candidates of these centers. Sanjeev Mukhiya is being called the kingpin in the NEET UG paper leak case. He is still absconding. His right hand man Rocky has already been caught by the CBI. The principal and vice principal of Oasis School of Hazaribagh, Jharkhand were also arrested by the CBI.
