Mauritius Prime Minister Naveen Chandra Ramgulam is on India’s 8 -day (from 9 to 16 September). Prime Minister Modi reached Varanasi in the morning, where Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed him. After this, PM Modi met the Prime Minister of Mauritius.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said in a joint press conference with his counterpart Naveen Chandra Ramgulam that culture and rituals reached Mauritius from India centuries ago and became in the life stream there. Like the uninterrupted flow of Maa Ganga in Kashi, the continuous flow of Indian culture has been enriching Mauritius.
He said, “Today when we are welcoming Mauritius’s friends in Kashi, it is not just formal, but a spiritual union. So I proudly say that India and Mauritius are not just partners, but a family.”
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Mauritius also met Foreign Secretary Vikram Egyptian and discussed the multidimensional bilateral partnership between the two countries.
The Ministry of External Affairs wrote on the social media platform ‘X’, “Foreign Secretary Vikram Egypt met Prime Minister Naveen Chandra Ramgulam of Mauritius in Varanasi.
