Thur (Udaipur). The idol and life consecration festival of Shri Siddhivinayak Temple was concluded with reverence and enthusiasm in the famous village Thur of Mewar. A large number of devotees participated in this sacred event organized in the presence of Saint Shiromani Pujya Shri Avadheshanand Ji Maharaj.
Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar, the 77th Shri Ekling Diwan of Mewar, received blessings from Prabhu Shri Siddhivinayak and revered saint on this occasion. In his address, he described Thur village as a center of spirituality and power and said that this consecration will further strengthen our cultural roots. Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh described the sail of Thur as proof of the foresight of the ancestors.
Nature Worship: This sail symbolizes the rich tradition of water-conservation and nature-worship.
System of lakes: He mentioned that the Maharanas of Mewar always gave priority to water conservation and this Pal has been an important part of the water system of lakes of Udaipur.
Contribution of the royal family: He also underlined the special relationship of Maharana Raj Singh with this area and the role of the royal family in the preservation of the ancient Shiva temple.
Youth Participation and Cultural Festival
Dr. Mewar praised the active participation of the youth in the event and described it as a symbol of new cultural consciousness. During the festival, a Bhajan evening was organized in the night, in which the famous bhajan singer Chhotu Singh Ravana and other artists drenched the devotees in devotion with their performances.
