New Delhi. The Middle East country United Arab Emirates (UAE) has lifted all temporary restrictions in its airspace and normalized aircraft operations again. With this, Indian and UAE airlines will be able to fly more flights to India than before. This information was given by the Ministry of External Affairs on Sunday. This shows that the situation in the Middle East is now returning to normal and planes are flying from the entire region to various cities in India. The Ministry of External Affairs said that flights to various destinations in India are continuing from various airports in Saudi Arabia and Oman. Qatar’s airspace is partially open. Air India, Air India Express, IndiGo and Qatar Airways are operating flights from Qatar to various destinations in India.
Kuwait’s airspace is also open. Jazeera Airways and Kuwait Airways are operating flights from Kuwait to India. Similarly, Bahrain’s airspace is also open. Air India Express, IndiGo and Gulf Air are operating flights from Bahrain to various destinations in India.
Iraq’s airspace is open to a limited number of flights to regional destinations and can be used to fly to India.
Iran’s airspace is also partially open for cargo and chartered flights. The ministry has advised Indian citizens to avoid travel to Iran and urged those already there to leave through land border routes with embassy coordination. So far, the Indian Embassy in Tehran has facilitated the evacuation of 2,504 Indian nationals from Iran through land border routes, the statement said.
The statement said Israel’s airspace is open and limited flights to regional destinations have resumed, which can be used to fly to India.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) is continuously monitoring the developments in the Gulf and West Asia region and paying special attention to ensuring the safety, security and welfare of the regional Indian community.
