A new debate has started on social media after CJI Surya Kant’s “Wando” comment. In protest against this statement, a political organization named ‘Wando Janata Party’ was formed; In a very short time, the party’s Instagram handle has garnered over 9 million followers – a number that is continuously increasing. In comparison, looking at the current political scenario, BJP currently has 8.7 million followers on Instagram, while the Congress party has 13.2 million followers.
Who founded this party?
Wando Janata Party was founded by Abhijeet Deepak from Maharashtra. Its motto is: “Secular, Socialist, Democratic, Lazy.” In just one day, the party’s follower count increased by more than 4 million.
What did the CJI actually say?
On May 15, several media reports claimed that during the hearing of a case, CJI Surya Kant had compared some unemployed youth to cockroaches. However, just a day later, the CJI clarified that he had made no such statement.

If any valid vote is canceled or invalidated, the Chief Election Commissioner will be arrested under UAPA (Unlawful Activities Prevention Act), as depriving a person of his right to vote amounts to an act of terrorism.
There will be 50% reservation for women—up from the current 33%. Furthermore, it will be implemented without increasing the total number of parliamentary seats. There will be 50% reservation for women in the cabinet also.
The licenses of all media organizations owned by the Ambani and Adani groups will be cancelled, to make room for a truly independent media landscape. The bank accounts of the anchors of “Godi Media” will be checked. If any MLA or MP makes the mistake of joining another party, he will be barred from contesting the elections. Apart from this, he will also be barred from holding any government post for the next 20 years.
