Kolkata, April 20 (IANS). Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states have taken charge of the assembly election campaign in West Bengal. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta reached Kolkata on Monday to campaign in support of BJP candidates.
BJP workers gave a warm welcome to Rekha Gupta at the airport. While talking to the media, Rekha Gupta said that the era of debate and anarchy in Bengal is going to end very soon.
He said that very soon the people here will see a new dawn in Bengal. For years, people were forced to live in an atmosphere of fear. The people of Bengal were sad. Now BJP government will be formed in Bengal with the support and votes of the public.
CM Rekha Gupta targeted the Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government and said that the people of Bengal now want freedom from this misgovernance. For the development and bright future of Bengal, the people have resolved to reject the misgovernance and fear of TMC and choose the trust of BJP.
CM Rekha Gupta wrote in the X Post that the enthusiasm, energy and confidence of the workers at Kolkata Airport is clearly indicating that change is certain in Bengal, Mamata Didi’s departure is certain. A new chapter of service, good governance and development will begin in Bengal from this May.
On the other hand, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma claimed that this time BJP government is going to be formed in Bengal.
Referring to SIR, he said that this process only means that the voter list should be cleaned. Those who have passed away, whose names are at two places, why should they not be removed from the voter list? Why would such people vote?
He said that why would people who have come from Bangladesh vote, hence everyone in SIR should cooperate.
Himanta Biswa Sarma said that TMC goons can attack as much as they want. They also know where they will go on the evening of 4th May. Therefore, the goons should surrender now, and this time it is certain that BJP government will be formed.
