A woman wearing hijab can also become Prime Minister and Mayor: Waris Pathan

हिजाब वाली महिला प्रधानमंत्री और मेयर भी बन सकती है: वारिस पठान

Mumbai, January 13 (IANS). AIMIM leader Waris Pathan has supported the statement of party chief Asaduddin Owaisi in which Owaisi had said that a woman wearing hijab can one day become the Prime Minister of the country. On this, Waris Pathan said that while staying within the ambit of the Constitution, we have said that one day a woman wearing hijab can become the Prime Minister and can also become the Mayor of Mumbai. Our point was completely within the scope of the Constitution. Why is this bothering anyone?

Speaking to IANS in Mumbai, Waris Pathan said that we were only talking about the Constitution. He said that various types of statements were coming regarding the Mayor of Mumbai, we said that anyone can become anything. It is written in the Constitution of Pakistan that only people of one religion can hold certain posts. But in India, under the Constitution given to us by Dr. BR Ambedkar, anyone can hold any post. A woman wearing hijab, if she works hard, can also fulfill her dreams. Circumstances may be difficult, but a person can also change his destiny. One day a woman wearing hijab can also become Prime Minister and Mayor.

On the statement of narrator Devkinandan Thakur, he said that education is given in the university, so why have you become an enemy of education? Why are you spreading hatred?

On the statement given by Maharashtra government minister Nitish Rane regarding Asaduddin Owaisi, Waris Pathan said that no matter how much condemnation is given to this statement, it will be less. Nitish Rane, who is spreading hatred on behalf of BJP, has abused our party president and he should apologize. It is absolutely wrong to make such shameful remarks about a five-time MP and a leader respected by Parliament. This is the same person who was sent abroad by the Indian government as part of an official delegation and who exposed Pakistan on the global stage. It is shameful to use such abusive language against him. Nitesh Rane should apologize. We expect Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis to rein in such careless leaders.

He said that I want to tell the minister who is repeatedly talking about sending us to Pakistan that we are not afraid of anyone. No one can drive us out of India.
