After being removed from Rajya Sabha post, Raghav Chadha broke his silence, said - 'The picture is still awaited'

Amid the growing political controversy within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), MP Raghav Chadha has given a befitting reply to his own party over its recent claims of not raising Punjab-related issues in Parliament.

In a post on X, Chadha responded to the allegations by emphasizing that Punjab is not only his home but also his “duty, land and soul”.

He highlighted various issues he raised as MP, including advocating for the Nankana Sahib Corridor, legal guarantee for Minimum Support Price (MSP) for farmers, addressing the problem of depleting groundwater in Punjab, recommending Bhagat Singh to be awarded Bharat Ratna and many other important issues.

He wrote, “For those of my colleagues in AAP who were forced to release the video saying ‘Raghav Chaddha failed to raise Punjab issues in Parliament’, here is a small trailer. The picture is yet to come. Punjab is not just a topic of discussion for me. It is my home, my duty, my soil, my soul.”

This entire controversy started after the removal of Raghav Chadha from the post of deputy leader of Aam Aadmi Party in Rajya Sabha earlier this week, following which the Aam Aadmi MP criticized the party leadership, accusing him of suppressing his voice.

Following Chadha’s comments, several Aam Aadmi Party leaders lashed out against him, saying he was “bound in compromise” and was afraid of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Chadha on Saturday hit back at allegations that he was removed from the post of Aam Aadmi Party deputy leader in Rajya Sabha, calling them a “planned attack” and refuted claims that he had refused to walk out of Parliament or sign the impeachment motion against the Chief Election Commissioner.

In a post on X, Chadha said that a planned campaign was being conducted against him.

He wrote in the post, “Since yesterday, a well-planned campaign has been going on against me. Same language, same words, same allegations. This is no coincidence, but a planned attack. At first I thought I should not respond. Then I thought that if the lie is repeated a hundred times, maybe some people will believe it. So I decided to respond.”
