New Delhi, May 22 (IANS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed about the decisions on Friday, a day after the meeting of the Council of Ministers in New Delhi. He said that in the Council of Ministers meeting, the issues of promoting ‘Ease of Living’ and ‘Ease of Doing Business’ and carrying forward the reforms were discussed in detail.
Prime Minister Modi chaired the Council of Ministers meeting on Thursday after returning from foreign tours. The meeting took place at ‘Seva Teerth’ at 5 pm, in which all Cabinet Ministers, Ministers of State and Ministers of State with Independent Charge also attended. This was the first full Council of Ministers meeting this year. The last such full meeting of the Council of Ministers was held on June 4, 2025. However, information about the decisions of the meeting held on Thursday was not officially revealed.
The next day on Friday, Prime Minister Modi posted on the social media platform ‘X’. He wrote, “Yesterday, a meaningful meeting of the Council of Ministers was held. We exchanged ideas and best practices related to promoting ‘Ease of Living’ and ‘Ease of Doing Business’. Discussed how to take the reforms further to realize our common dream of a ‘Developed India’.”
It is noteworthy that this meeting was held in the background of the US-Iran war and the difficult economic conditions arising from it. Amid the US-Iran war, the government is constantly monitoring fuel supply disruptions, inflation and rising oil prices.
Recently, the Prime Minister appealed to all the countrymen to use fuel wisely. This includes adopting measures like ‘work from home’ and holding more online meetings instead of face-to-face meetings. Also, this includes refraining from buying gold for at least a year and avoiding traveling abroad.
