Last Friday evening, Akhilesh Yadav’s Facebook account was suddenly blocked, due to which there was a stir in politics and resentment among SPs. Facebook took the decision as per its policies
According to the information, Akhilesh Yadav’s Facebook page, which had more than 80 lakh followers, was blocked around 6 pm on Friday evening. Facebook took this step due to a “violent and objectionable post”. This action was taken under Facebook’s platform policies. Akhilesh Yadav’s Facebook page is often used to criticize government policies, connect with party workers and share information about SP programs. After the blocking of this page, Samajwadi Party protested considering it as a serious issue.
SP called it ‘undeclared emergency’
After the incident, SP leaders reacted strongly. Party spokesperson Fakhrul Hasan Chand said, “Suspending the Facebook account of Akhilesh Yadav, national president of the country’s third largest party, is an attack on democracy. The BJP government has imposed an undeclared emergency, where every opposition voice is being tried to be suppressed. But the Samajwadi Party will continue its fight against anti-people policies.
Akhilesh Yadav’s Facebook page activated again
Facebook has now restored Akhilesh Yadav’s page. According to the information, after the account was blocked, the IT team of Samajwadi Party immediately mailed Meta. Apart from this, the party had also informed the Facebook India team about this matter. As soon as the page became active, Akhilesh Yadav’s posts and videos started appearing again.
