Prayagraj, January 27 (IANS). The controversy regarding the new rules of UGC is not ending. After the leaders, now sages and saints have also started opposing it. Sadhus and saints in many districts of Uttar Pradesh demanded its withdrawal.
Swami Avimukteshwarananda, while speaking to news agency IANS, said, “No caste is unjust by birth. No person is just by birth. There are good people and bad people in every caste. A person can commit injustice, but no caste is completely just or unjust.” Taking aim at the UGC, Swami Avimukteshwarananda said that you are pitting one caste against another. This wrong step will destroy Hinduism. A lot of damage can be caused. Therefore this law should be immediately repealed.”
Swami Avimukteshwaranand said, “You all know about the UGC. It is a plan to destroy the Hindu society by making one caste fight against another. This government wants Hindus to fight among themselves and be destroyed. What kind of governance is this? Why was such a law brought? Why is one caste being instigated against the other? What is the logic behind this?”
On the resignation of Bareilly City Magistrate Alankar Agnihotri, Swami Avimukteshwaranand Shankaracharya said, “The thing is, how deep the sorrow would be in his heart, it can be gauged from the fact that he left such a big post to express his grief. His resignation will be recorded in history and will show people what kind of attack the Uttar Pradesh government has inflicted on the hearts of those who believe in Sanatan Dharma.”
Speaking to news agency IANS on the UGC higher education regulation controversy, Jagadguru Paramahamsa Acharya said, “We have sent a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, requesting him to withdraw the new UGC regulations. We have appealed that either the new UGC regulations should be withdrawn or I should be allowed to euthanize. This is because according to us, the new regulations will push 35 percent girls of the general category into exploitative situations.”
He said that because of UGC, crime may increase in the country and people may start taking advantage of it, that is why the government should withdraw it as soon as possible, so that the children of general category can get proper education.
