Chandigarh, October 11 (IANS). Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Saturday appointed Haryana IPS Y. Met Puran Kumar’s family. During this, CM Bhagwant Mann said that the grief of the family cannot be expressed in words.
CM Bhagwant Mann said that Amneet P. Kumar is an IAS in Haryana, daughter of Punjab and a senior officer, but she too has to plead for justice.
He said that India is a bouquet, which has flowers of different colors. A boy who reached such a big position had to take such a step. Today it is happening that if someone comes up from the bottom, he is not being allowed to grow.
Bhagwant Mann said that I appeal to the Chief Minister of Haryana to provide justice to this family. No person is above the law. He said that Amneet P. Kumar had an important role in implementing the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme. I will also talk to the Chief Minister of Haryana. The central and state governments should provide justice in this matter.
CM Bhagwant Mann said that in the matter of suicide of an IPS officer coming from Dalit community, I have met the Governor and asked him to intervene in this matter and talk to the family and solve their problems. Today the old parents and the entire family are troubled and their views are not even being heard. I demand from the Central and State Government that the demands of the family should be heard.
He said that IPS officer Y. Puran ji’s wife herself is an IAS officer and is the daughter of Punjab. Today the entire Punjab is standing with its daughter. She is demanding to file an FIR and take action against the guilty people, but the government is not listening. Y. Puran has also written in his letter that he is being harassed and a complaint was also made about it, but no hearing was held.
On behalf of Aam Aadmi Party, it was told on social media platform X that Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has appointed IPS officer Y. Met Puran Kumar’s family. It is very difficult to even imagine this tragic accident that has happened to Puran ji’s family. Y Puran ji was an IPS officer and currently held the rank of ADGP. Today even his family is not getting justice. Dalit CJI was mistreated in the country. He is being made fun of on social media, he is receiving threats. This shows that some people cannot see people from Dalit community in high positions.”
