The election results declared on May 4 shocked everyone in Tamil Nadu. TVK emerged as the largest party in the state, leaving behind both DMK and AIADMK. However, it could only reach 108 seats, 10 seats short of an absolute majority. Later, TVK got the support of five Congress MLAs, while two MLAs each from CPI and CPI(M) also extended their support. This brought the total number to 116. Now, with the support of VCK, this figure has increased further. TVK expressed its gratitude to all parties for their support; Furthermore, party leader Arjun said that Vijay is now ready to form the government.

Meanwhile, some time ago, AIADMK chief Edappadi K. A social media post by Palaniswami had increased political speculation. In his post, he congratulated the party as it is ready to form the government. As a result, speculation about support for TVK has intensified. Palaniswami said in his post: “Candidates from various political parties participated and won the recently concluded 17th Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. I extend my hearty congratulations to the party that is set to form the government in Tamil Nadu.”
