Patna, December 18 (IANS). Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Thursday flagged off 34 mobile forensic vehicles to assist in evidence collection and crime investigation. The Chief Minister inspected the vehicles before sending off the forensic vehicles. During this, he took information about the arrangements and available facilities.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that since 2005, the rule of law was established by giving top priority to the maintenance of law and order, many works were done for this. Zero tolerance policy was adopted in matters of crime and corruption. To speed up investigation of criminal cases, 34 new mobile forensic vehicles have been launched. All these vehicles are equipped with modern testing equipment.
He said that with the help of these vehicles, investigation can be started immediately after reaching the crime scene. Earlier, whenever any crime was committed, evidence had to be collected from the incident site and sent to the forensic lab for investigation. This took a lot of time and due to delay there was dissatisfaction among the victims’ families. Now the mobile team will start investigation at the incident site itself, which will provide a lot of convenience.
On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha and Water Resources cum Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary were also present.
After this, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited Bihar Saras Mela at Gandhi Maidan and took information about the arrangements and facilities available there. Officials told the Chief Minister that Bihar Saras Mela has been organized from December 12 to December 28. Apart from Bihar, people from other states of the country are also selling their products in this fair. Handicrafts, folk art and native cuisine have been exhibited in this fair.
During the visit, the Chief Minister inspected various stalls set up there. During the inspection he took information about various products. The producers and sellers present there told the Chief Minister that whatever goods were displayed in this fair, people were liking them and they were selling well.
The Chief Minister said that Bihar Saras Mela has its own identity. It is nice to see all the products displayed in this fair. Several steps have been taken by the government to encourage rural entrepreneurship.
