Bihar Election 2025: The bugle of Bihar Assembly elections has been sounded and the political temperature is touching the sky. But, ‘Mahabharata’ is being waged within the opposition grand alliance which claims to bring change. The matter of seat distribution among the constituent parties of the alliance is still badly stuck, what is more, the talks have also come to a complete halt. The situation is such that a situation of lack of communication has arisen in the alliance. Amidst all this, Congress has now released the names of six candidates, out of which three names are Muslims.
Congress fielded 6 more candidates
Amidst this internal tussle, the Congress party has intensified its election preparations. The party has released the list of its 6 more new candidates. With this, till now Congress has announced the names of a total of 60 candidates.
According to this new list, ticket has been given to Surendra Prasad Kushwaha from Valmikinagar, Abidur Rehman from Araria, and veteran leader Jalil Mastan from Amour assembly seat. Apart from this, the party has made Tauqeer Alam from Barari, Praveen Singh Kushwaha from Kahalgaon and Vinod Chaudhary from Sikandra (reserved) seat its candidates.
Situation of ‘confrontation’ in Grand Alliance
The biggest news is that all is not well within the Grand Alliance. Due to increased tension over seat distribution, this alliance is now on the verge of breaking. According to sources, there are about 10 seats where two parties of the alliance are preparing to face each other, due to which bitterness is increasing.
The nomination for the first phase has ended and today the nomination for the second phase is also ending, but the Grand Alliance has not yet been able to declare how many and which seats each party has got.
rift in friendship
Due to the delay in seat sharing and claiming each other’s seat, talks between Congress and RJD leaders have come to a complete halt. On the other hand, RJD is continuously busy distributing symbols to its candidates, ignoring the allies. Even RJD has fielded its candidates on a dozen seats including the Kutumba seat of State Congress President Rajesh Ram. In such a situation, there is a possibility of a direct contest on some seats of Bihar between the Grand Alliance constituents Congress and RJD.
