Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday made a sharp attack on the opposition, saying that the people of Bihar have given a shock of 65 volts in the first phase of assembly elections to those who flourished during the era of Jungle Raj.
Addressing a public meeting in Sitamarhi, Prime Minister Modi said, “The people of Jungle Raj have got a shock of 65 volts in the first phase of elections! There is talk everywhere that the youth of Bihar have chosen development by supporting the NDA, and the women and daughters of Bihar have given the alliance a record victory.”
The Prime Minister said the RJD’s campaign reflects its mentality as children are being forced to raise slogans to become extortionists instead of aspiring to become doctors or professionals.
The Prime Minister said, “What RJD wants to do for the children of Bihar is clearly visible in their election campaign. Listen to the songs and slogans of the people of Jungle Raj. You will be shocked. On the platforms of RJD, innocent children are being told that they want to demand extortion. Does the child of Bihar want to demand extortion or the doctor? Will we win those who want our children to demand extortion?”
Bihar Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) on Saturday announced that 65.08 percent voting was recorded in the first phase of Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 held on November 6.
Sitamarhi constituency, one of the 243 assembly seats in the state, is likely to see a triangular contest between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Jan Suraj Party in the second phase of voting on November 11.
