Bihar: Patna administration on alert regarding protest by TRE-4 candidates

बिहार: टीआरई-4 उम्मीदवारों के विरोध प्रदर्शन को लेकर पटना प्रशासन अलर्ट पर

Patna, May 19 (IANS). Amid growing fears of student protests over the delay in the announcement of vacancies for Teacher Recruitment Examination-4, the Patna administration on Tuesday issued a stern warning to coaching institute operators and teachers.

According to official sources, intelligence had indicated that students were preparing for a massive agitation around Patna College.

Taking immediate action, the district administration came into alert mode and called a high-level meeting at Bahadurpur police station.

The meeting was attended by key officials including Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Additional Superintendent of Police, and SHO along with several prominent teachers and coaching center operators.

During the meeting, the administration made its stand clear that strict action will be taken against any involvement of teachers or coaching operators in the protests.

Authorities stressed that maintaining law and order is a collective responsibility and warned against any attempts to incite or support the student movement.

Teacher Guru Rehman present in the meeting confirmed the firm stand of the administration.

He said that the teachers are committed to their role and will not indulge in any activity that disrupts the educational environment.

The officials also sought information about the coaching timetable.

The teachers told them that classes generally run from 9 am to 4 pm.

The administration advised them to keep students fully engaged during these hours and suggested a strategy to prevent participation of students in protests.

Meanwhile, dissatisfaction among the candidates is increasing.

Many unemployed youth have been waiting for the notification of Teacher Recruitment Examination-4 for a long time and are repeatedly alleging delay despite government assurances.
