Political activities have intensified regarding the formation of a new government in Bihar. Secretary to the Governor, Gopal Meena visited the residence of Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary. The meeting between the two lasted for about 30 minutes. Earlier, Union Minister Lalan Singh and JD(U) national president Sanjay Jha had also met Samrat Chaudhary at his residence. It is being told that both the leaders had arrived with the list of probable ministers from JD(U). Meanwhile, havans (sacred fire rituals) are being performed in several districts of Bihar with the wish of making Samrat the chief minister. For this purpose, Mahayagyas (grand rituals) were organized at Shitala Temple in Patna and Kali Temple in Khagaria.
Amid these developments, posters with the slogan “25 to 30, phir se Nitish” (from 2025 to 2030, again Nitish) put up in the JD(U) office have been removed. These posters were put up during the Bihar election campaign. Amidst this political turmoil, the Chief Minister inspected development projects in Hajipur. Meanwhile, the NDA Legislature Party meeting is scheduled at 3:00 pm tomorrow at the Atal Auditorium at the state party headquarters. Central observer Shivraj Singh Chauhan will also attend this meeting. It is expected that the name of the new Chief Minister will be announced at 4:00 pm.

After the meeting, Nitish Kumar will resign from the post of Chief Minister. With this, the tenure of the current government will end.
Soon after, a meeting of the NDA legislature party will be called to elect a new leader. To ensure smooth conduct of this process, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has been appointed as an observer on behalf of BJP.
