Bihar's situation was very bad during RJD's 15-year rule: Ramkripal Yadav

Patna, May 17 (IANS). Bihar government minister Ramkripal Yadav expressed his opinion on many issues like opposition’s allegations, women’s safety, NEET paper leak case, Prime Minister’s foreign tour and administrative action. Taking aim at the opposition, he said that now there is rule of law in Bihar and criminals will not be spared under any circumstances.

In fact, Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav had raised questions on the government regarding issues related to women’s safety and livelihood didis. Tejashwi Yadav had said that Jeevika Didi’s gas cylinders are empty and women are not safe.

Responding to this, Ramkripal Yadav said that the situation in Bihar was very bad during the 15-year rule of RJD. He told IANS, “Kidnapping, robbery and crimes against women were common during RJD rule. The situation was such that people were afraid of sending the women of their families out. Today there is peace and tranquility in Bihar, there is rule of law and the government is continuously working for good governance.”

He said that if any criminal commits a crime, he will not be spared. The government is taking strict action against the criminals and the law is taking its course. Speaking on the NEET paper leak issue, Ramkripal Yadav said that strictest action should be taken against those who have played with the future of lakhs of children.

He said, “Such people should be punished more than what the law allows. Lakhs of children work hard for months and when incidents like paper leak happen, their future goes into darkness.” Ramkripal Yadav said that arrests are being made continuously in the case and the investigating agencies are taking action to reach the main accused.

On the issue of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s foreign tour and foreign investment, Ram Kripal Yadav said that every visit of the Prime Minister is in the interest of the country. He said that India is now becoming the growth engine of the world and there will be important agreements with many countries regarding development and investment.

At the same time, he also supported the instructions given by Suvendu Adhikari against corruption in West Bengal. He said that if someone is caught taking bribe then strict action should be taken against him and he should be sent directly to jail.
